Abe’s Ads Marketing branding project is an oldie, but a goodie. Back in 2014, some strange person from Chicago called me with a mobile-marketing business idea he was just getting off the ground.
The idea for Abe’s Ads is similar to Millionaire Mobile, where vehicles are used to advertise, but Abe’s Ads had a bit more details in the way of data as well as a terrific story behind it. I had the pleasure of helping craft that story.
Abe’s Ads Marketing branding started with the idea of transparency, hence ol’ Honest Abe. As we worked through some ideas, I came up with the slogan, “Everybody wins. Honest” because the nature of the business model was the clients win by advertising, the drivers win by scoring some extra money to use their vehicles as ad space, and Abe’s Ads wins for coordinating the efforts – everybody truly wins!
The Abe’s Ads marketing branding project included the following:
While the end-result was satisfactory and Alex and the Abe’s Ads teams were over the moon about the marketing branding project they received, it took far longer than either of us would’ve liked. Slow replies on their part and juggling too many clients on mine, had this project drag out to a little under three months long. While they weren’t in a big rush, good design projects should move faster than this, and I learned a valuable lesson during this project – don’t take on more than you can handle.
